Single Effect Concentrator
GENERAL
The single effect concentrator is mainly used to concentrate the solution from raw material particularly for Malaysian or China traditional herbs, dextrose, amylum sugar, oral liquid, chemistry, foodstuff, monosodium glutamate and milk product. It is also used to reclaim industrial organic solvent such as alcohol.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The raw material solution high water/solvent content in the concentrator is vaporised under vacuum condition by using vacuum pump and further the vaporised water/solvent is condensed in the condenser and stored in the storage tank for recycling purpose or discharge as waste. The remaining solution will remain in the concentrator which is high in TDS value range from 10-40% depends on type of raw material used.

- The device uses outer-heated natural cycle and vacuum negative pressure evaporation.
- The liquid material concentrates without bubble under full seal state.
- The concentrated herbs liquid after concentration is confined in non-contamination vessels and not exposed to outside environment.
- The device is easy to handle and it needs a little foundation aoek and area for installation.
- The heater and evaporator use stainless steel for thermal purpose and insulated with polyurethane material.
- The surface is treated with sand grinding and surface polishing to meet with the GMP standard requirement.
- Material of construction is SUS304 or/and SUS316L depends on Client requirement.
- Evaporation 500 to 2000L/hr of water
- The overall system such as condenser, plate heat exchanger and others shall be designed to fulfill the performance required.
- The system is provided with a solvent recovery tank, condenser, cooler, separation chamber, liquid separator, vacuum pump, vacuum buffer tank, shell and tubes heat exchangers, valves and others.
- Complete with temperature gauge, pressure gauge and safety relief valve.
