Multipurpose extraction plant

Typical plant consist of extraction vessels, platform with hand railing, circulation pumps, heat exchangers, pneumatic systems, control systems, gauges, transmitters, sensors, condenser, interconneting piping, filters, valves and others.

GENERAL

This plant is a multi-purpose plant for the production of essential oil and concentrate extract depends on the type of material used. Generally for the essential oil the type of material used is lemongrass and others; whereas, for the concentrate extract is Tongkat Ali, Cinnamon bark and others.

This plant can be used for running with water or solvent depends on the Client requirement. In the event that the plant is using solvent, all the accessories related to the plant will be explosion proof rating.


WORKING PRINCIPLE

For the production of essential oil such as lemongrass oil, the grinded material is mixed together with water in the extraction vessel, will be heated by using steam or electrical heater until water boils to produce water vapour and further carry the essential oil together to the condenser. The water vapor with esential oil will be condensed in the condenser and collected in the separation glass to separate essential oil and water. The essential oil is drawn out from the separator and water will be circulated back to the extraction vessel. The cycle continous until most of the esential oil is collected from the raw material.

For the production of solution extract such as Tongkat Ali extract,the grinded Tongkat Ali is mixed together with water and solvent in the extraction vessel and further heated by using steam or electrical heater until the active compound dissolve in the water. The Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) of Tongkat Ali compound will largely depends on the amount of Tongkat Ali compound present in Tongkat Ali wood. Further concentration to produce concentrate extract shall be carried out at the single effect concentrator to further concentrate the extract to the required TDS value and stored in storage tank.

  7. Provided with control system to control the operating condition of the plant.
  8. Provided with top inlet and bottom discharge for the raw material.
